A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to invalid addresses under the very same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from friends or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting
You’ll be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort in case you have a web hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel is full-featured, yet incredibly user-friendly, and it will enable you to activate different options, including the catch-all one, with just several mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each one of them you will notice a tiny "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking on it again will disable it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this option activated or if you’ve got active email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The catch-all feature can be activated easily in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will find a tiny sign handily located right next to each of them. With only one mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this feature using the menu that will show up. If any of the preconditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will inform you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
